Employee Benefit Specialist Dean Haage has been in the Group Insurance industry since 1991. After graduating from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, he began his career in MetLife's midwestern regional home office. Dean then was promoted to Group Sales Representative responsible for sales and service of group benefit clients where he enjoyed a successful sales career. Dean left MetLife in February of 2000 to take a position as an Assistant Vice President-Producer with Willis of Illinois, Inc. His responsibilities included the sales and service of group benefit clients in a broker/consultant capacity. While at Willis he helped employers with 75-2000 employees design and implement all aspects of their group benefit plans. Dean joined the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as an Employee Benefit Specialist in March of 2002. He has responsibility for the group practice within the Hoopis Financial Group. Together, Dean and his team of account managers provide expert solutions to the Hoopis Financial Group's individual and group clients. Dean has experience working with groups of 2-10,000 employees. He is experienced in working with alternative medical funding arrangements (self-insured, HSA's, HRA's) as well as fully insured plans. He is also able to deliver expertise in the design, implementation, and communication of employee paid, voluntary benefit plans. He is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and holds a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation. |
